Table Lamp / Torch

Ambal, a 3D-printed table lamp and torch, draws inspiration from the Ambal Poovu (water lily)—a culturally significant wild flower of Kerala that blooms under moonlight and adorns paddy fields and temple ponds during the monsoon season.
Crafted through 3D printing using industrially compostable PLA, Ambal embodies a conscious approach to sustainability through its zero-waste process, wire-free portability, and oil-free illumination, reinterpreting tradition through contemporary design.
Delicate fluted details along the stem and shade enhance its sculptural quality, while carefully considered proportions allow it to be carried effortlessly by hand. Designed to function both as a table lamp and a portable torch, Ambal transcends conventional utility to become an experience in itself.
